Our 2006 trips have now taken place and they were as follows.

A Half Day Trip to Sheffield Botanical Gardens on Sunday 14th May leaving Ilkley Car Park at 1pm is the first of our daytime trips planned for 2006. The cost for this trip was £12 per person.

Sunday 21st May, a Half Day Trip to Heritage Wild Flower Nursery in Old Bramhope, leaving Ilkley at 1.30pm. Costs were £5 per person.

A Full Day Trip to Ness Botanical Gardens on Sunday 11th June which cost £15 per person.

An Open Garden...

3rd July 2005, a Sunday full day trip to Holehird Gardens at Windermere, Cumbria were we left Ilkley for a day blessed by wonderful weather, not too bright, not too hot, in fact, like the gardens themselves, just right!

On Saturday 21st May 2005, a coach load of mainly girlish gardeners set off from Ilkley to visit the garden of George Smith, MBE, in Heslington on the outskirts of York.  It's easy to find when you know how, which our driver didn't - you go to the far side of the University Campus, turn into Heslington Village and stop outside the Delamere Arms.  The garden of almost three acres surrounds the 18th century manor house next door and is a mature and well thought out gardener's paradise...

Our Full Day trip for 2004 was on June 13th and went to Lyme Park in Cheshire, (the Venue for Pride and Prejudice).

The Full Day Trip was on 13th July to Alnwick Castle and Gardens, as featured on the BBC TV Programme, Charlie and the Duchess.

Alnwick, as well as having an exceptional garden, much improved and extended by also is the location for Hogworts' castle scenes in the Harry Potter Movies.

On 14th July we went to Burton Agnes Hall, Nr Driffield in East Yorkshire. This offers a beautiful Elizabethan Hall and gardens.

Our trip to Bodnant left Ilkley in wet conditions (to say the least) but once we crossed the border into Wales, the skies started to clear and by the time we arrived at the entrance to the gardens, the sun had been shining long enough to dry everywhere and everything up. The gardens were as beautiful and wonderful as we had been led to expect and we all enjoyed our visit to an incredible garden.
