    WE ARE GRATEFUL TO GUISELEY MUSIC CENTRE FOR THEIR GENEROUS PROVISION OF A YEAR’S FREE ADMISSION TO THE ENSEMBLE OF A WINNING SOLOIST’S CHOICE ACROSS THE MUSIC CLASSES. 

    The award will entitle the recipient to a year’s membership in an ensemble at Guiseley Music Centre.  The following criteria must be met:-
    1. The student must play an ensemble instrument.
    2. The student must show a real enthusiasm and energy for their chosen instrument.
    3. The student must live within a local area to enable them to attend the music centre.
    4. The student does not have to win their class to be considered for this award.
    5. The award will be made at the Festival Gala Night Concert on Saturday 21st May 2008.
    NB:There is no age limit to this award.

    Copies of poems from “A Wonderland of Words” and “A Merry-Go-Round in Verse for Young People” are available from the Festival Secretary.  Alternatively, copies of these anthologies can be bought, priced £3.50 and £6.00 each, including postage and packing, from the Festival Secretary.  

     It is likely that poems from these two anthologies will be chosen as set pieces for Festival 2009.
