There is yet another phone scam hitting out area! These scammers hit areas for a while, then move on to annoy other people, or so I was told by BT. Mind you, they've been cold calling my number for what seems like months now!
You get a call with a recorded American voice waffling on about winning something, and requiring you to press a number on your phone to be connected with an operator.
DON'T! This will cost you a minimum of £1.50 per minute and if you agree to anything or worst still, give out your card or bank details, potentially a lot more.
