The Association Mystery Fuchsia for 2008 variety was Black to the Fuchsia.
Our suppliers are once again Arcadia Nurseries of Middlesbrough but due to a boiler failure with a frost that same night, the varities I had chosen were not available.
This year's Mystery Fuchsia is a new introduction, only about two years old. I have seen the flower and it is STUNNING! This variety is actually a basket fuchsia as against the usual bush variety we obtain.
Best of luck to everyone who gets one (or more), bring your prize winning pot back to the September meeting for judging!
Speakers
Do you give talks to Garden Associations? Would our members enjoy listening to your talk? seeing your pictures? seeing your plants? and buying them? Then please get in touch with us, we have 9 meetings a year where we enjoy a guest speaker, always the first Thursday of the Month starting at 7.45pm in the centre of Ilkley.
We are always interested in entertaining speakers with a horticultural topic and we'll even pay you. If you think you fit the bill, please Get In Touch. (Now booking for 2011).
Talented local flower arranger, Sandra Harder will be creating stunning flower displays on stage throughout the evening for her audience. She has a very informal, friendly style and she will also tell you what flowers and colours she is using for each...
